A minimalist uniform

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about having a useful uniform of jeans, jumper and boots.

It’s easy, cosy and relatively presentable. Jewellery, higher-heeled boots and a scarf can dress it up.

But I found I was truly turning it into a uniform and wearing it almost every day, when I came in from work and also at the weekend.

So, time to ring the changes. Not too much, obviously. I’m hardly a style maven! And I’m not giving up my snuggly jumpers without a struggle.

But switching out jeans for a skirt, worn with tights is a different matter. (When I want to be really cosy, I wear those fleece-lined ones – bliss!). And, loafers, as well as boots, look well with them.

It uses the same principles but is a little different and I feel slightly more feminine and dressed up.

I’ve two skirts and between the two of them, all my jumpers match – so again, it’s very easy.  They’re season appropriate with the fabrics and colours and fit well into my capsule.

A uniform is great but tweaking it a bit gives it more longevity, I find.

Any other ideas about a uniform? Have a great week 😊

Oh I love skirts! Wear them all the time in Fl instead of shorts. In cooler climates with tights and boots is a great look. -laurel

Hi Laurel, I’m a bit of a late convert but I love wearing them now 🙂 Lxx
