Winter wardrobe

2017-12-03 Winter wardrobe 1

Is it me? Or has this been a really fast three months? I feel as though it could have been a couple of weeks since I was writing about my autumn capsule wardrobe!

And now I’m writing about my winter wardrobe 😊

But that’s the great thing about having a capsule – I don’t have one long enough to get bored. The weeks fly by and then I greet old clothes with a sense of familiarity and welcome new ones with a sense of optimism.

My ‘uniform’ in winter tends to be a cosy jumper, jeans and boots. I know – ground-breaking! But so easy to get dressed, feel warm and look presentable.

In work, a good jacket makes me feel very put-together and is warm.

I find my winter capsule one of the easiest to curate. Although I follow Project 333, I’m not as concerned with the numbers in winter. I add a hat, woolly scarf, gloves and an overcoat as it gets quite chilly in the UK but they are all necessities. So if that takes me into the region of 36/37 pieces, so be it.

My neutral colour this season is black (yay!). I’m lucky in that black suits me, rather than drains me, but gives me scope to add in some accent colours of blue, pink, green and burgundy.

Has anyone got any tips for a winter wardrobe? I’d love to hear. Have a great week 😊

I continue to admire the actual “wardrobe” you use instead of a conventional closet. It’s like being in a fine spa retreat, where you have brought only your favorites, everyday! Eventho now we live in Fl, I do agree that layers are always more fun to dress with. Have a great week!-Laurel

Thanks so much, Laurel. While others comment on the clothes, I love the way your keen interior design eye is also drawn to the wardrobe itself!! It’s a good point about layers – maybe that’s why I find cooler seasons easier to dress for – more options!! Lxx
